United Arts Grants Cultural Facilities (CF) Funding

About the Grant

To elevate Central Florida’s arts and culture to that befitting a diverse, world-class community.

Objectives of Cultural Tourism and Cultural Facilities Funding:

  • Enhance the Orlando area’s arts and cultural identity
  • Present quality arts and cultural experiences
  • Promote tourism

Eligibility and Criteria for Cultural Facilities (CF) Funding:

  • Orange County-based nonprofit museum or municipality-affiliated auditorium++
  • Project located in Orange County
  • Undisturbed use of land and building for 7/15/30/40 years*
  • $1:$1 Matching funds
  • Have a Nonprofit Search profile, with the “Reviewed” status
  • Complete one year of arts or cultural programming in Orange
    County, attracting tourists
  • Maintenance reserve in budget

For the 2024 program:

Cultural Facilities Funding is reopen to the public for the 2024 program.

  • FY24 program cycle reopens with a workshop and one-on-one assistance for application in spring 2024, for projects that begin July 1, 2024.

Important Dates

Cultural Facilities Funding has been allocated and the process has reopened to the public for the 2024 program.

Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
- Mandatory* virtual workshop for "How to Apply for Cultural Facilities Funding"
- RSVP to Trudy@UnitedArtsCFL.org for webinar link; the workshop will be recorded with a live presentation, allowing time for Q&A, and will be posted online.

*If you cannot participate in the live/virtual workshop, you will need to follow up with United Arts/Trudy Wild (Trudy@UnitedArtsCFL.org for an alternate review of the program requirements in advance of the application deadline.

Letter of Intent due Thursday, Feb 15, 2024, 5:00 p.m. 

Thursday, Feb 15, 2024, 5:00 p.m. - Last date to submit application narrative/components to Trudy@UnitedArtsCFL.org for pre-deadline staff review

March 26, 2024 - Site Visits of Applicants' Venues

April 23, 2024, 9:30-11:30 a.m. - Review Panel Meeting - IOC1 Building, Largo Room, 450 E. South Street, Orlando, FL

Wednesday, May 15, 2024 - Advisory Council Meeting - Funding Recommendations; The final scores and funding recommendations are linked HERE.

Tuesday, June 4, 2024, 9:00 a.m. - Orange County Board of County Commissioners Funding Approval

July 1, 2024 - Agreements Awarded; project period begins
