United Arts Grants OCACA Cultural Facilities (CF) Funding

About the OPPORTUNITY

To elevate Central Florida’s arts and culture to that befitting a world-class community.

Objectives of Cultural Tourism and Cultural Facilities Funding:

  • Enhance the Orlando area’s arts and cultural identity
  • Present quality arts and cultural experiences
  • Promote tourism

Eligibility and Criteria for Cultural Facilities (CF) Funding:

  • Orange County-based nonprofit museum or municipality-affiliated auditorium++
  • Project located in Orange County
  • Undisturbed use of land and building for 7/15/30/40 years*
  • Matching funds of at least $0.50:$1 of amount requested
  • Have a Nonprofit Search profile, with the “Reviewed” status. *pending Council approval Jan 7, 2026, this will be no longer be a required item for applicant eligibility or application.)
  • Complete one year of arts or cultural programming in Orange County, Florida, attracting tourists
  • Maintenance reserve in budget

The Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs' Cultural Facilities Funding application cycle opened Thursday, December 18, 2026, for the 2026 program.

Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 10 a.m.-12:00 p.m. - Mandatory* virtual workshop on how to Apply for Cultural Facilities Funding

Nonprofit Search profile update due to Community Foundation Friday, February 7, 2025, by 5:00 p.m. *pending Council approval Jan 7, 2026, this will be no longer be a required item for applicant eligibility or application.)

Letter of Intent (LOI) Deadline: Friday, February 13, 2026 @ 5:00 pm. - This has moved to an online process within the grant dashboard.

Last date to submit draft application/components for pre-deadline staff review - Wednesday, Feb 18, 2026, 5 p.m.; Last date to submit application narrative/components to Trudy@UnitedArtsCFL.org for pre-deadline staff review (Email Application Packet contents, to Trudy@UnitedArtsCFL.org, or notify that the draft, or various components are available online for cursory staff review.

Application Deadline: Sunday, March 1, 2026 @ 11:59 pm. (apply online at https://unitedartscfl.org/grants/orange-county-grants-cultural-facilities-funding/

Site visits for applicant locations/venues - Late March (To Be Announced), 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

CF Review Panel Meeting - Late April (To Be Announced) @ 8:30 a.m.

Advisory Council Meeting - Wed., May 13, 2026, 8:30a-10a - Funding Recommendations

BCC Funding Decision - Tues, June 2, 2026 - Presentation and Funding Approval

Project Period begins: July 1, 2026; ends March 31, 2028

FY26 Program: The application period of Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs Cultural Facilities Funding is open through March 1, 2026, 11:59 p.m.

The virtual workshop will be presented live on Zoom, Tuesday, Jan 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and the recorded and PPT versions will be posted after the event. This workshop is MANDATORY for any first-time facilities applicant, or someone who has not applied in the last 2 cycles. (NOTE: if you are unable to participate in the first workshop, you may view the recorded one online, or schedule a review with Trudy@UnitedArtsCFL.org.)
