Exploring Central Florida’s Vibrant Cultural Scene with Guided Tours
Discover the thriving local arts and culture scene.
Although Central Florida is mostly known for its theme parks, the region boasts an array of world-class arts destinations and talent that reflect its diverse community and rich history. United Arts of Central Florida, in partnership with Visit Orlando, is on a mission to showcase the thriving arts community through the newly formed Cultural Tourism Initiative. From museums and galleries to street festivals, the arts are the main catalyst connecting visitors and new residents to the local culture.
Whether you’re a seasoned art enthusiast or a culture curious person, the Art Tours will offer a unique opportunity to explore the multicultural artistic landscape of Central Florida. Each tour promises a fascinating journey into the region’s creative spirit.
The tours will take place in Downtown Orlando, and in some of the region’s charming communities, including Loch Haven Cultural Park, Mills50, Ivanhoe Village and Winter Park. For visitors seeking to experience the best of the arts scene or residents eager to explore their own backyard, the art tours offer something for everyone.
“I’m beyond excited to add this experience to my portfolio and guide people through vibrant cultural destinations,” says Tracy Kuch, owner and operator of Wandering Palm Adventures.
This is an immersive experience that takes participants to discover an eclectic mix of art galleries, cultural landmarks, and locally-owned, award-winning eateries. With knowledgeable guides, these tours feature carefully planned routes and a dedication to expanding the audience for the arts community. Expect to be inspired, educated, entertained, and to possibly make new connections and friendships along the way.
The Art Tour is a pilot program of the new Cultural Tourism Initiative. This program is being developed in partnership and collaboration with cross-sector stakeholders, including Visit Orlando, Visit Florida, Experience Kissimmee, Orange County Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs, City of Orlando’s Downtown Development Board, City of Winter Park’s Arts & Culture Alliance, arts nonprofit organizations, local tour operators, and small businesses.
