Latina-led theater company Open Scene debuts a new family-friendly show with choreographer Ana Cuellar, former artist of Cirque du Soleil’s La Nouba, at Fringe ArtSpace in downtown Orlando.

VIDA is an immersive and captivating musical journey, a timeless invitation through dance and color to embrace our emotions and the beauty of life. The show runs from March 22 – 30, 2024 at the Fringe ArtSpace. As the curtains rise, spectators will witness a blend of dance, visual arts, and poetry!

Artistic Director, Thamara Bejarano, emphasizes the production’s commitment to delving into the essence of existence: “VIDA is not just a theater production; it’s an immersive experience that delves into human emotions.” She adds, “At the heart of this artistic piece lies an exploration of what truly matters in life. Do you know what it is? Self-love.”

The backbone of VIDA lies in its meticulous research, led by Bejarano and Mariela Saad. Their collaboration, enriched by the insights of mental health counselor Victoria Henry, LMHC, lays the foundation for a narrative that resonates deeply with audiences. The talent of choreographer and performer Ana Cuellar, whose tenure at Cirque du Soleil’s La Nouba spans fourteen years, infuses each movement with grace and strength. Accompanied by the compositions of Charles Griffin and the soul-stirring melodies performed live by Dr. Jamie Clark, VIDA is set to engage the audience. The show also features illustrations by Danish visual artist Lisa Aisato and artwork by local artist Ellen Pestili.

As the lights fade and the curtains draw to a close, VIDA is set to leave an imprint on the hearts and minds of all who experience its transformative magic.
