Central Florida’s Fall Music Season 2024 is filled with Jazz and Classical music, alongside tributes to rock and pop stars. With over 100 shows spanning eight weeks from September through October, this season is set to showcase the region’s vibrant music scene.

 

Jazz and Classical: The Heart of the Season 

The spotlight this season falls on the rich and timeless genres of jazz and classical music, which make up most of the scheduled performances. Central Florida’s finest venues will host an array of talented musicians and ensembles, offering audiences the chance to experience the elegance of classical symphonies alongside the soulful rhythms of jazz. 

 

Tribute Shows: Honoring Musical Legends 

The other side of this season’s lineup is dedicated to pop, rock, and tribute shows, providing several opportunities to experience local and guest performers paying homage to legendary musicians and bands. Highlights include a recreation of iconic Fleetwood Mac hits at the Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center, The Beach Boys Tribute at the Garden Theatre, and The Greatest Composers You’ve Never Heard Of presented by The Bach Festival Society of Winter Park. 

September Highlights 

The season kicks off strong in September with notable productions, including celebrations of Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month: 

  • “Rejuvenation Orchestra’s tribute to Sam Rivers’ legacy at the Timucua Arts Foundation (September 1) 
  • Blue Bamboo Jazz Festival at the Blue Bamboo Center for the Arts (September 12-15) 
  • Celebrating Hispanic Voices – A Spoken Word Showcase at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts (September 20) 
  • Latin Jazz & Art Festival at Lake Concord Park in Casselberry (September 21) 
  • Spotlight Cabaret Series featuring Darryl Reuben Hall at Winter Park Playhouse (September 25-26) 

 

October Highlights 

October continues the musical journey with performances including: 

  • “La Casa de Bernarda Alba” by Flamenco de Sol at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts (October 4-6) 
  • Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra’s 2024-2025 Season’s Classics Series opening night at Steinmetz Hall (October 12-13) 
  • Orlando Ballet’s “Romeo & Juliet” with live music by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra at Steinmetz Hall (October 17-20) 
  • Big Band Concert at Osceola Arts (October 27)
