Thirty-two years ago, Charles walked into the band room in Maitland Middle School and picked up a pair of drumsticks. It changed his life. That day led him to Winter Park High School’s marching band and eventually to concert venues and recording studios all over North America and Europe. He spent more than five years as a professional drummer for a variety of music groups.

The lessons in self-discipline, collaboration, and preparation he learned from music were profound and lasting. As a father, he is keen to ensure that his children (ages 11 and 15) are able to pursue music, theater, and art in their schools and experience arts in our community. That desire forms the core of his drive to make the arts thrive in Central Florida.

Professionally, Charles is a Managing Director in KPMG’s Risk Consulting practice with a specialty in technology enabled risk management. His work focuses on helping clients improve their financial operations and make better decisions. He is a frequent speaker at training events and conferences as he works to bring cutting edge technology to KPMG clients in all industries.

Charles earned a master of science degree in Business Analytics from New York University and an accounting degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He holds numerous professional designations including Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, and Certified Fraud Examiner.

He resides in Longwood, FL with his wife and two children.
