ORLANDO, Fla. — April 22, 2021 — After an extensive search, United Arts of Central Florida is pleased to welcome Jennifer Clark Evins as the new president and CEO of United arts of Central Florida. Her start date is June 21, 2021.

Evins currently serves as the president and CEO of Chapman Cultural Center, Inc., a local arts agency located in Spartanburg, SC, that provides major funding and support for many of their local arts and cultural organizations. She has been with the organization since 2010. Prior to Chapman Cultural Center, Evins worked in public relations and marketing in the for-profit sector.

“The United Arts Board of Directors is incredibly excited to have Jennifer join the team,” said Brendan Lynch, chair of United Arts Board of Directors. “With her extensive experience leading a united arts agency coupled with her public affairs and community relations knowledge, we are confident she will provide valuable leadership that will directly impact and benefit the local arts community, as well as the greater Central Florida community.”

For more than a decade, Evins has been committed to learning and leading with a lens of diversity, equity and inclusion in the arts. She has the ability and skill set to provide strategic leadership, innovation, and collaboration across multiple communities to advance arts, science, and history to benefit all people in a meaningful and equitable way.

“The president and CEO of United Arts is a critical role, providing support and guidance for our arts organizations, advocating for arts and culture at every turn, and ensuring that the arts are recognized for its contribution to the community as more than just entertainment,” said Juliana Steele, interim president and CEO, vice president of administration and CFO of United Arts. “Jennifer’s experience running a local arts agency and a cultural center, and her work on diversity, equity and inclusion, will be an enormous asset to Central Florida as we continue to address those issues in our own community.”
