ORLANDO, Fla. – October 5, 2022 — United Arts of Central Florida has opened the application process for the Orange County Venue Subsidy grant program. Through funding from Orange County, United Arts has reinstated this program to subsidize the use of event venues in Orange County for cultural programming. This will address the need for arts and cultural programming that will appeal to a wide range of audiences, particularly racially and ethnically diverse communities, in Central Florida.

The vision of United Arts is to increase access to the arts for all people of Central Florida by 2025. To achieve this vision, United Arts has set strategic goals to be more intentional to grow the grants and outreach programs that are inclusive, equitable, impactful, and sustainable. This program offers the opportunity to present cultural programming at a publicly accessible venue, providing a performance platform that elevates the production value and access opportunities for all.

“United Arts is proud to work with Orange County and bring back this impactful grant program to ensure access to the arts for all,” said Jennifer Evins, President & CEO of United Arts. “This program will continue to address the critical need for cultural nonprofits of all sizes to afford venues within Orange County.”

To be considered for the Orange County Venue Subsidy grant program, applicants must have nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporate status. In addition, they must have arts, history, or science as their primary mission and be located and serving communities in Lake, Orange, Osceola or Seminole counties with programming presented in an Orange County venue. Submitted applications will be reviewed by United Arts staff, Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs, and/or its Advisory Council for organizational eligibility and funding recommendations before going through the United Arts Board of Directors for approval.

These grants are made possible through funding from Orange County and the deadline to apply is 11:59 PM, Sunday, October 23, 2022. Please visit https://unitedarts.cc/grantee-resources/orange-countygrants/ for more information and the complete list of application guidelines and requirements.
