Beth Perell of WMMO’s “Perspectives” radio program interviewed Paul Driscoll of United Arts grantee organization Page 15, highlighting the work of the organization dedicated to enriching Central Florida’s cultural landscape by developing and growing educational and creative literary arts programs. Said Driscoll:

There’s a real joy that [students ] find when they discover that what they doing is really just existing and just being themselves because there’s permission to be humorous and to talk about themselves, write about things that are important to them… And so we hope that when called upon in the future in their lives… when called upon to use their language, they’re going to do that with some confidence because they’ve been invested in it for so long… They can advocate for themselves and they can communicate their ideas, and they can do things like genuinely speak their truth. Like what is it I have in my heart?

United Arts of Central Florida is proud of our partnership with Page 15 and our ongoing advocacy for the arts and arts education! Listen to the full interview below and find out more about the important work of Page 15 here.
