United Arts Grants DTOLive! Designer call for Large Scale Floral Public Art Project

About the OPPORTUNITY

As part of DTOLive!, United Arts is partnering with Downtown Orlando Partnership  and the Downtown Development Board to celebrate National Downtown Employee Appreciation Week, September 8-12, 2025.

We are looking to commission 5 floral design artists for this celebration to create a large and impactful floral installation in Downtown Orlando.

The floral and horticultural installation will need to stay fresh for five days. The locations need to have a fixed object to contain or affix the installation.

Important Dates:
Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. | Call closes
Wednesday, August 20, 2025 | Selected Artists notified.

Monday, September 8, 2025 | Install completed by 10 a.m.
Saturday, September 13, 2025 | Deinstall by noon.

Selected Designers/Artists will be paid a fee of $1,500 for all materials, transportation, parking, design fees, and artist's time. 
Artists will be recognized at the site of their installation and on the DTOLive! Website and the DOP Downtown Employee Appreciation Week promotions.

Eligibility:
Artists must be local to the Central Florida region (Lake, Orange, Osceola, or Seminole counties)

In support of this project, Florida Wholesale Florist Inc. of Orlando will welcome artists to come to their business and walk around their shop to get ideas and to help establish a budget for your concept.
