United Arts Grants United Arts Creative Placemaking Open Call for Artists

About the OPPORTUNITY

Dear Artists,

The United Arts of Central Florida Creative Placemaking team is currently seeking to engage artists interested in activating community spaces.

In the last year, the United Arts Creative Placemaking team launched several programs for artists to thrive. Some of them include:

- DTOLive!
    Activation Times:

  • Tuesday and Thursday 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. & 4:30-6:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday and Friday 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
  • Finally Fridays 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. & 7:00p.m.-9:00p.m.

- Inter&Co Fanzone Playoffs and Finals

- Downtown Orlando Partnership (DOP), Main Street and Lake Eola Events

- Corporate & Private Events

United Arts is leveraging resources and relationships to increase access to the arts for all residents, employees, and tourists. Artists will regularly bring live performances to different parts of the city.

Individual contracts will be negotiated separately for all non DTOLive! performances.

For DTOLive!, Artists are compensated a minimum of $250 for the two hour set based on experience, time, and performance. The performance must fill the 2-hour block. (All events are to be rated PG-13 or under unless otherwise noted below)

Interested performing artists must complete the application to be considered for placement within all programs.

All activation sites will have canopies and/or tree shade.

How to Select Work Samples

A work sample is a document or representation of your work that showcases your art to the world. It can be in the form of still images, manuscript excerpts, sound or video clips.

When submitting your application, it is important to provide work samples that demonstrate the quality of your artistic content and technical ability. We recommend limiting your selection to three or four relevant work samples that are recent and concise.

Please note that each application has an attachment limit. If your work samples are too large to upload, don't hesitate to contact Audra at Audra@UnitedArtsCFL.org for an alternative solution.
