Tom has 20+ years of experience in marketing, communications and administrative roles in Central Florida, including notable roles in building the creative marketing team at the University of Central Florida, leading all marketing, communications and community engagement at Rollins College and serving as Deputy Chief of Staff to the President of UCF. Most recently, Tom led a team of writers, editors, designers, developers, email marketers and SEO professionals for a downtown digital marketing firm while maintaining a communications and brand consultancy for local and national clients. His early career was as a designer, art director and creative director working with brands such as Disney, Marriott, Coca-Cola and Hard Rock Café. Tom received his MBA from the University of Central Florida and BFA from the University of Florida, is FEMA trained and completed crisis leadership coursework at Harvard’s Kennedy School.
