Beatriz Ramirez is the Outreach Programs Officer at United Arts of Central Florida. Beatriz has been active in the Orlando arts community for more than ten years. Prior to joining the UA team, Beatriz served as Opera Orlando’s Managing Director and Manager of Patron Services most recently.
Beatriz’s early love of the arts inspired her to pursue a bachelor’s degree in oboe performance from UCF and a master’s degree in oboe performance from Manhattan School of Music.
Beatriz began her work in the nonprofit sector in 2011 with the Accidental Music Festival. She later worked for One Beat, Lincoln Center, and Opera Orlando. In addition to working with well-established nonprofits, Beatriz co-founded the Alterity Chamber Orchestra (Alterity.co) in 2017 as part of the Timucua Arts Foundation. Beatriz is a supporter of new music, and thanks to her efforts with Alterity.co and Accidental Music Festival, she was included in the 2019 Orlando Magazine’s 50 Most Powerful.
As an active performer in the community, you can catch Beatriz performing as a soloist, in the contemporary classical quintet Answers, the guitar and oboe duo Belt & Ramirez, the paleo-futuristic cabaret band Lost Noises Office, and with numerous orchestras across the state.
