Maritza Martinez-Guerrero is vice president of External Affairs & Philanthropy for the Orlando Magic. A strategic and trusted public affairs executive, with more than 20 years of experience strengthening internal and external stakeholder relations. In her role, Maritza provides leadership to the Orlando Magic’s social responsibility, philanthropy and government affairs-efforts, and oversees the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation. Prior to joining the Orlando Magic in February of 2023, for over 20 years, Maritza served in progressive leadership roles at the University of Central Florida. In her last role at UCF, Maritza served as associate vice president for Government and Community Relations. In this role, Martinez-Guerrero served as a senior level advisor to the administration as it related to the university’s external standing and reputation, oversaw the community relations strategy, advanced the university’s economic development pursuits, and supported the university’s legislative efforts. Martinez-Guerrero serves on the board of directors of the Heart of Florida United Way, Winter Park Health Foundation, Seminole County Chamber, among others. She received her bachelor’s, master’s and MBA from UCF. And has been recognized as Orlando Business Journal’s Woman to Watch, honored as one of Onyx Magazine’s Woman On The Move, chosen by Orange Appeal Magazine as a 2020 Woman of the Year, among other recognitions.

Maritza is married to Julio E. Guerrero, and has two daughters, Juliana and Mariana, ages 19 and 17. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and cheering for the Magic.
