In a recent interview on Perspectives with Beth Perrell, our President & CEO Jennifer Evins shared valuable insight into the true cost of producing the arts and why private and public support are both essential.
Unlike in many countries where the government fully funds arts and culture, the U.S. model depends heavily on a mix of public funding, earned income from ticket sales, and private contributions from individuals, families, businesses, and foundations. In Central Florida, only about 15% of arts funding comes from public sources, which makes the generosity of our community absolutely critical.
